    Effort

    Howdy,

    In an effort to try and update this more regularly I am updating again today.

    So this week has gone pretty fast, starts with coming home on Saturday from a nice and relaxing week in Devon. Sunday saw the football with my friends, was nice.

    Monday the phones at work stopped ringing, how odd, "oh the phone line is broken" result. Also found out that in the week that I was gone I managed to sell my first laser, you see normally I sell PMTs (photomultiplier tubes) but as most of you don't have a degree in physics there’s no real need for me to tell you that’s actually what I sell. If you're interested go to www.hamamatsu.co.uk for more details of what I sell.

    Tuesday the phones were working but there were only 5 of us in my bit of the office, the 5 newest people. So didn't feel I had to achieve too much, so I didn't:)

    Wednesday went in dealt with a couple of bits and left the office at 12ish. We (my self and Helen, senior ETD sales person) went to UKAEA in Culham near Oxford. The UKAEA are the good people who are trying to commercially develop fusion into a energy source for the masses, they also happen to have a lot of money. We set up our stand and found that we had to return in the evening as the delegates were coming back for a bbq and hog roast. So we went and checked into the upper reaches hotel and then wandered around Abingdon, which is on the Thames. I could live there - if I had a zillion pounds. Expensive but pretty. After our wander went back to Culham and sat on the stall for 2 hours, had some hog was nice. Had a few glasses of wine as well in a pub garden over looking the Thames, a very very pleasant way to spend an evening. So pleasant we are doing it again on the 26/27th September - SCORE!!

    Thursday was spent sitting on the stand. <ost of you will know that I don’t mind sitting down, but when it comes to sitting in a marquee that is slowly trying to roast me to death in my nice suit then I draw the line. It might have been worth it, if a deal goes through where we sell an R3809 (see website for details) then I get a trip to legoland...:) Slept on the journey home. Good times. Going to go play squash in a minute. Although my racquet is in my car, in Welwyn (damn it).

    Peace out.

    This could be Devon

    Pictures are up.

    Overview of the week goes something along the lines of;
    Good times were had.
    Lundy Island is spectacular - pictures for this will take as long as the people of boots need.
    My tan has sligthly increased, not enough but still good.
    Adopted a wolf with Lucy. (Anyone feel free to buy me a couple of wolf puppies and the land to go with them)

    Just want to say a little about holidays in general. Its not where you go or what you do but who you are with that makes a holiday good or bad, and this one was really good. Relaxing, fun and funny things you always need on a holiday, got them all and more this week. Will be tough to beat next year...

    This is where we stayed;

    Also if only 14% of the population get sea sick (google it...) why were they all on the ferry with me...

    Seems like time for an update

    So you know it's all groovy.

    Work's going ok still, altough Kelly called me a yeti the other day... Score! I pointed out politely that yeti's are white, but she countered with that I had adapted for the office environment... making me an office yeti!

    My car passed it's MOT but the brakes were nearly gone, and as I drive like I think, fast and hard I decided to get them replaced. £400 that will maybe save my life, worth it?

    We're doing the World cup thing at work each paying a pound for a team. I have Sweden and the Ivory Coast. I'm not going to win by any stretch of the imagination. But hey its worth a cheer. Could have got Togo....

    Um, what else? Going to Devon in a week. Got some gun's. Gym is still gym like. Sqaush is fun.

    Peace out
